Roost Farm Centre has been welcoming children for an educational farm tour and a closer connection to the farm life. We invite you to experience our relaxed and responsive atmosphere that engages you for the entire visit.

Depending on the time of year, below is a list of things you might see or learn about on our tour ….

• Wheat growing and milling operation
• Bee program
• Cellar/ dungeon
• Our giant pumpkin in the works
• Our chicken bus
• A peek at our pumpkin carriage
• Sheep and chickens

• And a special ROOST treat at the end as a surprise

We are always happy to adapt the tour to meet specific needs or desires. We can tailor any program to your goals for your students or group and make sure you have a fantastic time.

Tours last approximately 1 hour and are always led by Farmer Dallas, the owner, to ensure nothing is overlooked. It is best suited for all ages. Tours run all year by appointment only.

COST

We strive to keep our costs as low as possible. School tour fee is $5.00 per student. This price includes a treat at the end. Teachers & parent helpers/drivers are free. We require a minimum of 15 paid attendees per group. (Exceptions for special needs groups).

TIMES

We run our tours year round, seven days a week. Please contact us, to arrange a time that is convenient for your class, group or family. All tours must be scheduled in advance.

WHAT TO BRING

Appropriate clothes and footwear are a must. Rubber boots are best. Depending on the time of year, a warm jacket and gloves are also a great idea. We are a working farm and our animals live here full time; please come prepared for the farm.

CANCELLATION

Cancellations are accepted 24 hours prior to the confirmed tour date.
