Sean has played guitar, keyboards, bass, and sung with numerous pop, rock, and country bands from the 70s to the present. He has played in the orchestra pit for musicals, on cruise ships with a 4-piece band, and more recently led the Starlight Pops Choir Combo. He has traveled Canada and the US with show bands Sour Grapes, Doc & The Doo-Wops and The Waybacks. Sean has appeared on several recordings: a vinyl 45 in 1980 with RiffRaff; a 13-song CD with his cruise ship band, Party of Four – With No Reservations, in 2002; a 4-song solo EP co-written with author Laurie Samsel Olsen to accompany her book Shooting Stars in 2007; two CD’s with The Soul Shakers, Live at The Yale – an album of blues and R&B standards recorded in Vancouver in 2009, and Love is Love, a 6-song EP of originals released in 2015; and in 2017 on Al Small’s From My Soul. Sean continues to play in Victoria regularly with R&B band The Soul Shakers, acoustic trio Barkley Sound, does concerts with The Starlight Pops Choir, has regular music sessions with Victoria Montessori preschoolers, and plays solo engagements.
